Saturday, April 4, 10:00 a.m. Hunt; Activities Till Noon
A popular community event for children and young people ages, from one year old through grade 8. Come fill a bag with treats that are scattered around our beautiful campus. This event is hosted by the Glenview New Church and School, and there is a minimal cost per family.
- July 4th in the Park
Celebrate July 4th in The Park! The day begins with the traditional neighborhood parade around the Park circle complete with prizes for best themed floats and decorated bikes followed by a patriotic program. A BBQ lunch and picnic hosted by the Glenview New Church Boys and Girls Club in the Pine Grove is offered for a nominal fee. Afternoon activities include games like Egg and Water Balloon Toss, 3-Leg Race and Running Races by age group’s. Softball games wrap up the afternoon activities. Many people conclude the day by attending the local Glenview Fireworks display.
- Charity Bike-A-Thon
Sunday, Sept. 21, 1:45 p.m. (2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. ride)
This annual event happens on the scenic, half-mile ring road around the Glenview New Church. The road is closed off to traffic during the event, and children are separated into age-specific lanes, making this a safe and enjoyable event for children of all ages, Pre-K through Grade 8. All proceeds are donated to a charity chosen each year by the children of the Glenview New Church School.
- Harvest Fest
A Saturday in October (date TBA), 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Bring your whole family for a day of harvest fun! Includes hay ride, pumpkin decorating, pumpkin launch, moon walk, pie contest, lunch and other food, campfire & hot cider, and more. Cost is $10 dollars per child (includes one pumpkin), $5 dollars per adult, $30 max. per family.
- “A Child Is Born” Christmas Pageant
Sunday, December 14, 4:30 p.m.
Bring your entire family to our annual Christmas Pageant and experience the wonder and peace of the season. This stage show includes still-life scenes, Christmas story readings, and singing of some of your favorite Christmas carols. It’s a beautiful event for the whole family.
