4th of July in the Park – 2021

Join us for our traditional July 4th festivities in the Park!
This year we will have a return of our July 4th celebration. With this being a Sunday, we will have our usual worship service at 9:30am, followed by the Parade & Flagpole Ceremony at 11am.

Park Parade entries should assemble in the church parking lot at 11 am. Everyone is invited to create themed floats and/or decorate bicycles to walk in the parade around the Park Drive circle. Prizes will be awarded to all float, bicycle and pet entrants!

The parade is followed by a Flagpole Ceremony in the church parking lot which includes the raising of the Flag, Pledge of Allegiance, singing of the National Anthem, and a Patriotic Speech from one of our Park neighbors. Following the ceremony there will be a BYO picnic in the ‘no-pine’ grove, with (socially distant) races, egg toss, etc. on the ballfield.

Events with the Village of Glenview have been evolving but as of now plans are to host a Bike Parade on Saturday, July 3rd at Gallery Park, and then on Sunday, July 4th there will be a ‘Reverse’ Parade at 12pm at the Community Park West. The day will end with Twilight Fireworks 5:30-10 p.m. at Gallery Park in The Glen. (Check out the Village of Glenview website for any late breaking news.)
